Welcome! We are so glad to have you here.

Unlike other social media platforms out there, this is a private community just for freelancers. Our goal is to create an environment where freelancers of all experience levels can develop their skills, network with other freelancers/solopreneurs and grow professionally.

Accountability and relationships are important elements of successful freelancing, and in this spirit we require all community members to register under their real name and business name (if they have one). Our hope is that this will inspire our fellow members to communicate honestly and respectfully, and to develop real connections that are simply not possible in anonymous environments.

The Freelance Mentors community is a place for positive encouragement, solutions-oriented problem-solving and professional development. This is a platform for lifting each other up, not tearing people down. Disrespect, rudeness, name-calling and other negativity is highly discouraged here. We do not censor posts for language, and our hope is that everyone here behaves like adults and conducts themselves as they would in any other professional setting. The content we do NOT tolerate is hateful or abusive language and behavior, as this violates the spirit of the Freelance Mentors community. Posts with unreasonably harsh, hateful or abusive language may be removed, and your ability to post may be temporarily paused. Multiple offenses may lead to removal from the platform for violation of our terms.

We can’t wait to hear what you think, and we hope that this community is a positive force in your professional development.
